ABM employee Mary Jo West, the first Phoenix anchorwoman in 1983, is now making headlines at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The ex-retiree is a guest services representative at the airport information desk, sharing information and being a friendly, albeit familiar, face for travelers.

I was passing through ATL Hartsfield-Jackson and I stopped in the women’s restroom. The attendant there was truly a breath of fresh air for the travel industry. She greeted everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, with a smile and a friendly remark or question. At one point during the very short time I was there, she took off after a person who had left a cell phone in the restroom.

During the shutdown, the museum facility team banded together to disinfect the entire building and provide an environment that was ready and safe for reopening.

The entire ABM team has performed commendably in the midst of the uncertainties surrounding COVID-19. The team lead created three teams of employees who could respond within 30 minutes if Enhanced Cleaning was needed in buildings due to a possible Coronavirus exposure.

Hidden Heroes: Custodian gets life-saving kidney donation from new co-worker

ABM coworkers Ricardo Couchman and Terron Hardy became fast friends while working at Brookfield Place in New York City. It wasn’t until Couchman noticed significant swelling on Hardy’s arm that he knew intervention was necessary. What happened next is the ultimate example of making a difference in the lives of others.

Our ABM HVAC Technician consistently goes the extra mile to ensure that the HVAC equipment in all of our schools is properly controlled.

After leaving class at our client's Houston training center, one trainee realized that he’d left his wife’s tax documents and son’s birth certificate behind. He feared they may have been thrown out with the trash of over 9,000 other building residents!

While putting the finishing touches on her work for the day, ABM employee Leyla Tabora was informed that two rings had been left on the sink in the bathroom of her building. Rather than leaving the problem to the person on the next shift, Leyla took ownership and placed the rings in a safe space. She held out hope that the owner would come back to reclaim them.

Without doing all this, the passenger would not be alive today. Jaremy is one of ABM’s heroes.
